Following the successful delivery of the new Roddensvale SEN School, I+E were appointed by the EA to develop proposals for a new Hydrotherapy extension to the completed School, which caters for a total of 85 pupils aged 3–19 with a range of moderate to complex needs. In order to develop the Client Brief, I+E carried out a design/performance review of recently completed Hydro–pools within SEN Schools in NI, which the Department of Education NI now endorse for new hydrotherapy pool projects. Careful material selection and detailing has created a calm and tranquil environment to enhance pupils’ therapy. The extension was delivered during term with minimal disruption to Pupils, Staff and visitors.
